Community Financial Literacy and Support

The Community Advice Project was officially launched on Wednesday 15th August 2012. 

Advisors are now located within several rural communities as detailed below to assist with benefits, savings and welfare advice.  Please feel free to pop along to one of our drop-in sessions.

 

Every Monday

Fauldhouse Partnership Centre from 10am-3pm

Breich (Woodmuir Primary) from 3.15-5.15pm

Community Financial Literacy and Support (Comflas) is a project funded by LEADER to support the development of a network of local community advice groups or individuals in rural communities in West Lothian, offering:

  • Provision of financial advice in the community (benefits/money advice/access to work opportunities/saving and borrowing/further support and financial education/adult literacy etc)
  • Identifying and encouraging local champions to deliver services in their community
  • The signposting/introduction to other appropriate help/support.

This project is now recruiting additional organisations or individuals to offer this programme in their local area.
